TSS Earnslaw Lake Cruises
It’s one of the best ways to see Queenstown’s surrounding landscape – a cruise across Lake Whakatipu aboard the iconic century-old coal-fired steamship, the TSS Earnslaw.
The TSS Earnslaw has been lovingly maintained since 1912 and is an iconic piece of Queenstown's history. Your trip will take you across the lake, past the Remarkables mountain range and Cecil Peak, to Walter Peak High Country Farm. You can choose to add a Walter Peak Farm Tour or our famous gourmet long lunch, or cruise back to Queenstown Bay.
Inclusive Information:
TSS is an easy way to experience Walter Peak farm tours, Walter Peak gourmet BBQ dining, horse trek, mountain bike trail, or just enjoying the spectacular area. A few things to consider are, the boarding ramp can be quite steep if the lake is high and the bathroom on TSS Earnslaw is down steep narrow stairs. So you may need to use the bathroom prior. The trip across the lake is approx. 1 hour and the vessel to restaurant about 150m slightly up hill on a fine compacted gravel surface. Be ready to board 30min before departure and if you contact RealNZ prior to your journey they can reserve you a table on the TSS. If you have pre-purchased tickets, please meet in front of the TSS Earnslaw, Steamer Wharf Dock.
Transport Information:
The TSS departs and arrives at Queenstown Lake front at Steamers Wharf
