Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles operate several vessels off the beach at Kaiterieri. Our vessels have ramp access directly off the beach and each vessel has a slightly different design. The Crusader ramp is 600mm wide. The newest vessel is the MV Innovator has a ramp of 640mm wide and all other access of 750mm. Our other vessels are approximately 445mm wide.
The Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman area has extreme tidal changes, The best access is normally during high tide as low tide can produce other challenges.
Sneaky trick; detach the wheels and get assisted up the ramp on front wheels only then reattach wheels on deck.
Transport:
Sea Shuttle departs and returns to Marahau & Kaiteriteri.
